Summer Craft Ideas
How beautiful are these sunprints! You can see how this came together and directions on The Light Garden blog. I have been trying to find new and exciting craft ideas from different blogs and books. I recently flipped through the book, The Creative Family by Amanda Blake Soule. She has some amazing ideas with imagination and nature in mind. It's definitely on my wish list. She also has a recent release called The Homemade Home that I would like to get my hands on soon! We have been doing a lot of painting around our house as well as collages with paper and glue. Any favorite craft ideas you would like to share?

I'm not a very crafty person, but Radnor and I do a few regular things. First, we make all of our birthday and thank you cards for people. We use construction paper, markers, stickers, glue, ribbons, and Rad gets his own pair of scissors to "work" with. Second, we make collages too, but we do it with our old magazines. We'll go through and cut out all the pictures that remind us of Mommy, Daddy, Radnor, etc and make collages with the pictures.
Recently, I made some lacing cards for Ethan. I cut out some basic shapes (heart, car) from an old Cherrios box. Then, cut some peices of yarn, and dipped the end in candle wax, so it's easy to thread. Then, Ethan can practice motor skills by feeding the yarn through the card. Pretty fun...
