Summer Reading List
I have been spending most of my free time lately reading books...good books, in fact! I am always surprised when once I read one good book how quickly I want to find another and then another. Reading (for pleasure that is) has always been something that I have enjoyed since childhood. I remember looking forward to my summers when I could take out countless books from the library and just read all day long! So, what has been on my nightstand over the past month???
The Help by Katherine Stockett (as pictured above)
Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall, Denver Moore and Lynn Vincent (a true story)
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Her Mother's Hope by Francine Rivers
and currently reading, The Hole in Our Gospel by Richard Stearn
Would love to hear what you are reading, have read recently, or is on your summer list.

I have been reading a lot of Jodi Picoult...Perfect Match, Change of Heart, My Sister's Keeper. They are pretty intense but I love her writing style. Read Sarah's Key which is about the Vel d'hiv in France. Also intense but it was very moving. Changed it up with James Dobson's Dare to Discipline. Planning to order the book you suggested because only parts of the Dobson book apply at this stage. Picked up The Feast last night and started it. I'm planning to read Same Kind of Different as Me next! And maybe a book for a book club... Honey Bee or something like that!
I read 20 books while I was on bed rest and then didn't get to read for a while. I have been doing a lot more of it lately. There is nothing like a good book!
Great books! I loved both The Help and Same Kind of Different as Me. I am looking forward to reading Her Mother's Hope, as I am a big Francine Rivers fan. I just finished reading Stones into Schools by Greg Mortenson. It is the sequel to Three Cups of Tea. Not sure if you've read them, but they are wonderful books! I really like Kite Runner, What is the What, and A Thousand Splendid Suns also. Please keep me updated on other good books that you are reading- I am continually on the lookout for something new too!
